The Radio
Liberation Front is a free-form roots and acoustic music
program produced live in the Westcott
Radio studio, located in the
historic Westcott Community
Center in Syracuse, New York. Programs are conceptual and
thematic in nature — songs are linked by lyrical subject matter
in spontaneous and synchronistic arrangements around themes of
political, spiritual or artistic interest. Selections include
traditional and contemporary folk music, roots rock, jam band
performances, retro and old-time country, bluegrass, blues, vocal
jazz, and occasional spoken word pieces... along with anything
else that seems appropriate at the moment. Particular emphasis is
given to independent artist/producers and small label productions
that are under-represented in the mainstream media. The Radio
Liberation Front incorporates the former After Midnight
program that aired on WXXE-FM
from 1998 through 2006.
